Pre-wedding

Q: Can you tell us about the pre-wedding /engagement shoot, do we need to have it?
Engagement shoots are super fun and a great way for you, me and my camera to get acquainted. This is also a great time to go through the plans for the day and to talk over the photographs that you want me to take. This is done usually about 1-2 month before the wedding day, during the week, but also can be done before for your wedding invitations. It is not mandatory, but if you feel like you really need to practice before the wedding, then this is for you!

What should I wear to the pre-wedding/ engagement session?
Anything that represents you. Casual, formal, or even your wedding attire if you want to make sure to have plenty of images in your suit and dress.

Can you hold a date for me?
Unfortunately, I can’t. The booking fee is the only thing that can hold the date when signing the contract.

I would like to offer you more to get the date you have already booked.
No! I will never un-book a couple, for any reason! This is on a first-come-first-serve basis!

What is your payment schedule ?
There is a 35% booking fee at the signing of the contract. The rest of the payment will be due before or exactly on the wedding date. Usually, I ask for the payment the morning of, so that nobody forgets when it’s night time and all we want to do is eat, dance and enjoy the night !

Wedding

What’s included in the photography package?
All of my packages include a half or full day wedding photography coverage, a minimum of 300 fully edited high-resolution images on beautiful and secure online gallery that you can share with your friends and family. All the photos you receive are retouched by me, so it includes from 10 to 30 hours of retouching.

On the wedding day, I realise I need you more longer, can you stay ?
Of course ! I usually keep my whole day for you, so if you need me for 1 or 2 more hours, simply let me know. The extra coverage has to be paid that night ( can be by e-transfer for convenience )

You have a second shooter that works with you on the wedding day?
Yes, but this depends on size of wedding, the number of locations, and the length of the wedding coverage. I think it’s a great investment; when I am shooting you, the second shooter is sometimes with your friends and family to shoot what you are missing, we get to see both sides at the ceremony, it’s a great second pair of eyes, and you get usually more pictures per hour.

Do you charge travel expenses?
Travel expenses for weddings within 40 kilometers of Montreal will be covered within the package fee. Expenses for travel and accommodation for further afield will be added.

Post-Wedding

How many photographs will we receive?
This depends on many different factors, such as pace of wedding, how many people there is, how many hours I cover and if it’s just me, or if we have a second shooter. At the end of the day, I will give you between 40 and 60 images per hour, fully edited.

Do you touch up all the images?
Yes!

But what exactly are the touch-ups?
I will do white balance, crop, contrasts and exposure, brighteness, black and white (on some images).

How soon will I receive my images?
I love editing, and I am good at it ! Therefore, time can vary from as low as 4 to 8 weeks, depending on if it’s in a low or high season.

Do we get the copyright of the images?
This is a question I get a lot, and the simple answer is no. The copyrights give me the rights to use the images in contests, awards, and do all kind of promotion for my buisness. Basically, I can not give you the rights to use your images for promotional uses without my credits ! But besides this, you can use your photographs for your personal use without any problems !

Do you offer albums?
Yes. For more information on albums, have a look at the extras/products of the pricing table.
